Apple looks set to broaden its colour spectrum for the 2018 iPhone releases, with the black, white (probably silver with white bezels) and gold 6.5-inch iPhone expected to be accompanied by far more colourful variants of the rumoured 6.1-inch handset.
The smaller handset could ship in white, black, taupe (brownish grey), gold, yellow, orange and blue colour schemes, according to a new report in Mac Otakara, via Apple Insider.

A previous claim from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a better record than most of his counterparts, suggested that red, blue and orange models were on the way, as well as the existing space grey and silver options.
Should these predictions prove accurate, this year’s batch of new iPhones will be the most colourful iPhone range since the company launched the iPhone 5c back in 2013. That plastic-covered handset was offered in red, green, blue, yellow and white.
The parallels between the iPhone 5c and the 6.1-inch 2018 iPhone handset could go beyond the colour scheme. This iPhone is expected to be the more affordable handset, with an LCD screen rather than an OLED panel.
The 6.5-inch phone, Apple’s largest ever, is expected to boast the more expensive OLED technology. A third 2018 iPhone is likely to follow-on from the iPhone X and arrive with a 5.8-inch display.
The 2017 iPhone X was available only in black and silver. Leaked prototypes have shown the company was also plotting a gold version, but that failed to materialise.
The next iPhones are likely to be announced a couple of months from now, in mid-September. They’ll be the first handsets to run iOS 12 out of the box, which includes the new Siri Shortcuts, new Do Not Disturb controls to help monitor screen time, grouped notifications and new AR tools like Measure.
